We are a family owned and operated, licensed breeding establishment, with nearly a decade of experience in breeding Miniature Dachshunds and Labrador Retrievers.

Our passion for Miniature Dachshunds began over 20 years ago when my husband welcomed his first puppy into his family and fell in love with their loyal and friendly nature. Since then, we have carefully developed our own breeding lines, and the majority of our girls here today have been raised and bred here at Westfena. The same approach applies to our Labrador Retrievers, where all of our current girls have been bred and nurtured on-site.

Breeding is not just our profession it is our passion. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing new owners meet their puppy for the first time and knowing that we have helped bring a new family member into their lives

 We take great care in our breeding process, beginning with the careful selection of our breeding pairs. Only dogs that meet our high standards for health, temperament, and conformation are chosen to continue our lines.

We have two of our own beautiful stud dogs on-site, both are fully health tested to the required breed standards in line with kennel club practice. When we very occasionally use outside stud dogs, they are also rigorously health tested as above and carefully selected to complement our females.

Once breeding has taken place, we look forward to the exciting anticipation of approximately 63 days until our puppies are born!

 We are fully licensed and regularly inspected by Fenland District Council to the higher-rated welfare standards set by DEFRA. This ensures that we maintain strict welfare practices and have comprehensive plans in place for the socialisation, care, and wellbeing of all our dogs and puppies.

We take great pride in our purpose-built facilities, which were designed specifically to give our puppies the best possible start in life.

 Our dedicated nursery area is where all puppies are born and raised, with round the clock monitoring alongside their mother to ensure they receive exceptional care. Every detail is carefully considered to provide a safe, nurturing environment with everything needed for their early development.
